Author in Residence - Martina Devlin

Writing a book is top of many people's wish list. But it doesn't just happen - we need to create the time and space to do it. Getting away from the demands of everyday life can help us to focus, which is where An Creagán comes in. It offers a peaceful retreat which can bring about the right climate for inspiration to flow.

Best Selling Author Martina Devlin is taking up residence at An Creagán this June to offer a series of workshops in Creative Writing. Funded by the National Lottery through the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, these workshops will help aspiring writers work towards achieving their goal. Participants won't go home with a novel at the end of a workshop - but they should have a better idea about how to reach that magical moment when they type ‘The End’.

Martina will be offering a number of one-to-one mentoring sessions for those already confident in creative writing, and will deliver a unique creative writing workshop for young writers age 12-16.
